Servin
As we now gather are selfs from the storm. Servin sets its goal on saving as many as it can. A set of 12 small kingdoms gather to set
the land from choas to law. The storm did a great deal of reshaping the land. Those whom have been found and willing to help have been brought here. We help each other any way we can. We know to are south the elf's are fighting a war. We send help as we can. To the east the land that should have stayed the MT ranges have gone. A scrub land is all that is left. Word comes in that they have broken ground in the last few years and are setting camps/vilages up. In time we will rebuild. We have to.Frist goal find any alive . 2nd and most the strongest find out what is going on in are land. Venom's Song lives and so do we. Now we must strive to help it.

Silmas gathers from the storm

Post  steven_h_d on Wed Jun 09, 2010 8:27 am

Wyeth Hildar - It has been an age of humans almost since the fire fell from the sky. Father and grandfather saw it and stood strong. Most of our clan survived, so as we set up the new town of Silmas under the union, we have become the leaders of this town. I am Wyeth Hildar - Under Director of Defence (UDDS) in Silmas, my job to repeal any who will do harm to our city. Provide support for Servin when they call. Recently though, I have a new task. This being to journey to Golsho and deliver a package to a certian spot in the old city. The reason for doing this is unknown to me. It is said to aid in our rebuilding, but somehow the cleric are in charge of this but need warriors to escort them there. They are the followers of IOUN deity of knowledge, skill and prophecy. Kord will direct my path in this, we will see if the wizards or warriors are blessed in this process. Be strong, but do not use your strength for wanton destruction.

Ash

Post  steven_h_d on Fri Jun 11, 2010 9:32 am

We were a forest city, protector and provider of lumber. We made sure the trees were never thinned beyond the point where the ground would leach away. Always we replanted and harvested lumber that was sick so it would be less likely to spread. Even when the other towns wouold have clear cut we resisted, sometimes with the sword and arrows we manufactored ourselves. The elves had thier forest but those around Ash were our land. It takes forty years for some trees to reach maturity, others are quicker, but ash tress are not. The fire from the stone sky burnt most of it to the ground. Fires have damaged the forest before, and it grows back. You must be patient to live with the forest, and warey. Things can hide in the forest, even a young 80 year old forest. Other things not of the forest moved in while we were few in number, now only the brave or foolish venture out in the darkness. Some of the trees move and shift, can catch one who doesnt respect the trees. Who am I, funny you should ask. I am a leaf on the wind of the forest, the leader of the southern rangers. We watch these woods. The woods provides for us and we for it, us rangers can talk to animals and find out things. Which is why I am here blocking your path young sir. My name is Thomas Strongbow, you can guess the meaning of my last name if you and you men are here to harm the forest. There are many more of my brothers hidden behind me. some are human, some elf, some are forest creatures large and small. We even have a halfling or two.
"Other things not of the forest moved in while we were few in number, now only the brave or foolish venture out in the darkness." - meaning drow, that surprisingly are here to help guard the forest, since their underground homes are gone. They have an encampment a part from the ranger village of ash and call it ASHIN.

Ribmar home of merchants

Post  steven_h_d on Mon Jul 26, 2010 2:07 pm

Once a hub of merchants and craftsman, we were lucky as when the fires came and passed we had skilled men and women to aid in rebuilding. Houses we constructed, first to home those that were injured. Herbologist we had to aid in their recovery. But as news of the vastness came in of the fire storm and word spread, more wounded came, and came and came. We were strong but not unlimited. Some we could save, others were to far and now a mass grave sits near by of those that did not. New wells we dug, with sweat and endurance of men and dwarf. Now we have clean water once again. The fire did not just change the top of the ground, below ground all was shifted as well as the mountains that once protected us, now we stare out to the wastlands and wonder what may come from that direction. Walls and gates are going up, we will prepare. Runners came back from our neighbor towns, with news of who was left, and of the elf, dwarf and halfling. Agreements were made oaths sworn, we 12 towns will stand together and rebuild. I am Travis an engineer and builder of the walls. I am a councilmember. before only lawyers and buricracts were councilmembers. So maybe we have learned from all this, their talk did not save us, did not help the sick and wounded, did not rebuild the city. We did the craftsmen and middleclass, the farmers that replanted what soil remained, the hunters that ranged far and wide to find herbs for healing and food to eat. Bah, the deities did not come to our aid, we had forgotten them. Like children that outgrew toys we cast them aside.
We have been repaid in full, not we see what we can do to regain favor, they ask to send some to the acient city with a package. Humm..it is the clerics mission let them and the lawyers take it. I need my people to rebuild, we can do with a few less spokepersons and ...clerics. The working healers, ill keep. Their fake visionarys can go. I have enough council (and able warriors) backing among the merchants I can make it happen.
Except....I think Cheynne will go, seems to be her calling. Dont think I can stop her. Dang headstrong daughter of mine. Well at least they will have a skilled hunter/warrior to lead them, may have to give her a couple of others too. Yes dear, Phillip and Andrew are quite able to guard our daughter, (they had better, or not return at all).

Ugas - poor poor piety me

Post  steven_h_d on Mon Jul 26, 2010 2:36 pm

We not as strong as our neighbors, we mostly are farmers. We did not have fancy walled cities, silk curtians and the like even before the fire storm. Now most of our homes were destroyed, our crops burned. Stock ran off or was killed for food for those in town, curse them sneaky thugs that call themselves hunters. Hunters of our stock anamials. But we caught some of them..he he..now they can pull the plows the ox used to pull. See them farm tools can be used for other things then cutting hay and feeding stock, cleaning manure. sick you with one of them forks and you die within a week. Steal our food and you pay! Slaves they be now, course the big towns dont know that, we keep them hidden and locked up. Have to add new ones from time to time as the old ones wear out. Jacob is I, leader of our farm group. You want corn, what you got to trade? I need replacement OX, I need metal tools. Keep your dang cheap beads, I aint a deseert dweler. My sons are strong and our woman stronger..ha ha little farm joke. Lets see you churn butter! you want us to send some bundle to the ancient town..<spit>. Nope. What you got to trade me that worth my son's life, eh? You got nothing, you get nothing.
